Day Dreams

Here are my thoughts on “Day Dreams” by Mike Groenewald, the latest podcast from http://www.everynationpodcasts.com
- God is extravagant! He gives us big dreams.
- Most often than not a dream is from Him if it involves other people. Not selfish.
- God’s purpose for the dream he had for Joseph was in order to rescue his brothers and their families from the famine. Think Judah, great-great-great granddad of Jesus. Preservation of life.
- Dream in the day. (I think I do that a lot already)
- Purse the dream. Seek it. We are kings.
- It takes time, lots of it. Patience. Obedience.
- “It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them.” - Proverbs 25:2
- Dream killers: Wrong people, Disappointment, Sin.
- Some dreams died long ago. We need to raise them from the dead.
The photo above is one I took a few years ago and is one of the dreams I’m raising from the dead. Its a view of Langtang in Nepal just a day’s walk away from the Tibetan border where my mom grew up.
The dream is to build a mountain resort up there. Right now my cousin Angnima has managed to build a simple eco-farming initiative with honey bees called Paramendo which means “Rhododendron”. I’ll save talking about Paramendo in another post but meanwhile you can find out more here: http://www.paramendo.com
